New Programs Announced, More Free Options Available

– Linear, the leading supplier of electronic products for a host of residential and commercial applications, announces its 2011 schedule of free training programs, many of which are now more convenient than ever for professional dealers and installers. Flexibility and convenience are the hallmarks of the coursework offered this year. New and improved programs are in progress that offer rigorous training, taught in a variety of formats that simplify the learning process
. When participants meet the requirements for satisfactory completion of any of the training programs, they receive a certificate indicating the program title, the instructor, and, where applicable, the number of CEU units earned.
Remote Learning Options
Throughout 2011, Linear is offering free, pre-recorded training Webinars/videos
for dealers, distributors and installers. These Webinars cover the latest topics, technical training, product overviews, and more.
"We are sensitive to the costs associated with traveling to face-to-face class sessions," explains Suzan Prior, training manager for Linear. "To best accommodate those who want to learn but cannot attend in person, we have invested in this new, remote learning program, with live instructors and the opportunity for questions and answers."
Linear customers also have the option for self-study -- training at their own pace using the company’s online training courses -- which include knowledge assessment tools.
Traditional Training at Linear University
Linear University still provides free, one-to-three day training courses every month at its Carlsbad, California campus. Many of the courses offered are CEU-Certified and meet requirements for continuing education credits. This unique format also creates a personalized setting for dealers and installers to gain hands-on experience with Linear

"Our on-site sessions are designed to be extremely interactive, so customers gain optimum value from them," says Prior. "We limit class sizes to eight people to allow for personal interaction with the instructors throughout the courses."
